I personally tend to like antique advertising, I think it is a view into how we saw our lives at a specific time frame. What major companies thought would sell their items, a glimpse into the pschye of the everyday man. It is also cool in my opinion to see how much fashion has changed while to some degree how things have not changed that dramatically. While these ads seem "sexually safe" compared to what advertisers use to sell everything from underwear to a house. The near naked buff, beautiful boy who you will become by buying that car, house, underwear---well you get the idea. It makes me wonder when did the shift take place in advertising, was it the pin up girl of WWII, the sexual revolution, the feminist movement? If you find some old underwear advertising feel free to send an e-mail my way here and will not only show them but give you a hout out for sharing them. So until next time
