TLA Markets Gay Films By Linking Them With Accused Molester Jerry Sandusky

Gay-owned video retailer TLA.com has removed a tasteless web page (link NSFW) grouping gay-themed indies and art films under the banner “What Would Jerry Sandusky Watch”?
TLA editor Robby O. wrote:

You’d think that with coaching, his non-profit and taking all those long showers, Penn State’s Jerry Sandusky would not have a lot of free time. Oh contraire! He is a ferocious movie-goer with specialized tastes. We sat down with him (actually, we sent our 11-year-old nephew so he’d open up more) and asked him to name a few of his favorites… after all, he’s gonna have a lot of free time soon to watch them all again.

Mr. O included films with titles like Cold Showers, Punish Me and Schoolboy Crush—along with movies about child molestation, including Capturing the Friedmans and Happiness.

Hey, why not include Nightmare on Elm Street?
TLA later removed the page and offered an apology:

A few days ago we posted an article that caused distress among some customers. While clearly satirical in nature and not a “sales-driven” piece as some have suggested—over 1/3 of the films that were mentioned are out of print and not available to purchase, and all were legitimate art, foreign or independent works—it struck a nerve with some. As a gay-owned and operated business on the forefront of LGBT issues for over 30 years, we have always taken jabs at current events and pop culture.
But in this instance our sense of humor did not come through in the way that we intended, and for that we apologize.

Yes, it takes a sophisticated sense of satire to understand Mr. O’s humor, but what I am left wondering is was it a bad attempt to cash in on a bad judgement call---either way this IS VERY Offensive!!1

Rush Limbaugh Insists Jerry Sandusky Is 'A Gay Guy'

It was only a matter of time before we heard from  this idiot....I figured it would have been sooner....

Radio host Rush Limbaugh on Friday suggested that the “gay lobby” has pressured the media into not mentioning that Jerry Sandusky is “a gay guy,” Equality Matters reported.

Sandusky, a former coach at Penn State, has been accused of sexually molesting at least 8 underage boys, charges Sandusky has denied.

A caller said that “we're always told that homosexuals are not pedophiles, but in this case, he sure was. And the same thing with Michael Jackson.”

Limbaugh replied: “Sandusky does not represent all of all homosexuality, just like the priests in the Catholic Church don't represent all of homosexuality, just like the aberrant criminals in heterosexual society don't represent all heterosexuals.”

“But because the gay lobby is very powerful, people don't go there. People don't address it, they don't talk about it, and as such, an element of the problem never gets dealt with.”

Limbaugh added that “Sandusky has to be – he's a gay guy. Nobody's mentioning that aspect, because it's just too dangerous.”

Bryan Fischer Blames Gays For Penn State Molestations Despite The Fact That Jerry Sandusky Is Married and Straight

Well it was just a matter of time I suppose.

Anti-gay hate groups like hateful Bryan Fischer of the AFA  are begining to use the child molestation tragedy at Penn State to further their hateful anti-gay agenda by using horrifically inaccurate statistics and turning an absolute blind eye to the fact that Jerry Sandusky, the man responsible for the molestations identifies as straight and is married.

Its absolutely disgusting that The American Family Association, Fischer and their ilk would take advantage of such a horrible event and the child victims to lie and further their hateful anti-gay agenda



This guy disgusts me, in all honesty as does what Penn  State allowed to happen repeatedly to children.  What further disguists me is that all of those people who knew and did nothing to either stop the abuse or would go to outside authorities can not be charged legally with anything.  This in my opinion is just the tip of a very huge iceberg and I believe there are more victims in the days to come who will come forward.

May we as a community rally around the victims, show what support we can, do everything we can to prevent this from happening again, educate our own children to help this from happening again and send a very clear and loud message that we don;t carfe who you are; this kind of thing will not be tolerated any more!
