 Barnes & Nobel has confirmed that it has pulled and stop the sale of Joe King’s offensive and homophobic calendar “I’m Not Gay Just A Sissy” from its website and will no longer ofer it for sale.  The calendar was not stocked in B&N stores and was only available online until it’s offensive content was brought to the retailers attention.

New Book Reports That Richard Nixon Had A Gay Mafia Love Afffair With Bebe Rebozo

Richard Nixon, who held the title of “Worst United States President” before George Bush came along was known for his lies, corruption, semitic slurs and ruthless ‘dirty tricks’ campaigns.
But now in a new biography by Don Fulsom, a veteran Washington journalist who covered the Nixon years, Fulsom suggests that Nixon also had  a serious drinking problem, beat his wife and had links going back two decades to the Mafia, including godfather Carlos Marcello, then America’s most powerful mobster.
But wait.  That’s not all.  Fulsom also says that Nixon may have had a homosexual love affair with his best friend and confidant, a Mafia‑connected Charles ‘Bebe’ Rebozo who was even more crooked than Nixon himself.

Rebozo was a short, swarthy,  good-looking Cuban-American businessman and Fulsom uses recently revealed documents and eyewitness interviews, including with FBI agents to point out that Nixon may have been more than just good buddies with Rebozo.
Fulsom quotes a former Time magazine reporter who, at a Washington dinner, bent down to pick up a fork and saw the two holding hands under the table. It was, the reporter judged, sufficiently intimate to suggest ‘repressed homosexuality’.

Another journalist related how, loosened up by drink, Nixon once put his arm around Rebozo ‘the way you’d cuddle your senior prom date. Something was fishy there’
The book, Nixon’s Darkest Secrets, is due out next month.

Why Did Huffington Post Kill Its “Rick Perry Is Gay” Story?

Remember how we told you Glen Maxey—the first openly gay member of the Texas Legislature—wrote a book asserting that Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry is gay? And how Maxey was working with a reporter from a  “national news oulet” to drag all of Perry’s assorted skeletons out of the closet?

Well, Politico says that the outlet was none other than the Huffington Post, and that the reporter, Jason Cherkis, was pulled off the story, leaving Maxey to complete the piece himself and self-publish it on Amazon.
HuffPo honcho Arianna Huffington said she ended up axing the story because “there was no there there.” She also said that her decision to kill the story had nothing to do with the fact that the Perry campaign had hired high-powered attack-dog lawyer Lin Wood to yell at news outlets who threatened to run unfavorable stories.

“We looked at what we had; we realized that it was not a publishable story, and it was over,” she said. “The story was already killed before we got the letter from Lin Wood. I never even read the letter.” She added: “If we feel good about a story or stories, we run them, no matter what the legal threat. That’s not an issue. We have a great legal department and have no problem taking on legal challenges.”

The Perry campaign allegedly hired Wood after hearing Cherkis was digging up dirt on some of those pesky gay rumors.

Ray Sullivan, a Perry spokesman, told Politico that the governor’s team decided to hire Wood in August when “we got wind that” Huffington Post—which he described dismissively as “a liberal Web-based media outlet”— “seemed intent on quickly writing lies about the governor, and we were concerned about the speed at which those lies could be published online.”

So will Wood orchestrate a lawsuit against Maxey, since he went ahead and published the story on his own? Or is that too small a bull to rope?

Sex Store Purchase Leads to Mayor’s Outing

It was recently discovered that Mayor Greg Davis (R) of Southaven, Miss., spent taxpayers’ money on a number of unnecessary and unapproved expenses, which included thousands of dollars of liquor, expensive meals at a local restaurant and a purchase from a gay sex store, reported the Commercial Appeal in a Dec. 16 article.

Southaven is the state’s third largest city and is a neighboring city and suburb of Memphis, Tenn.
State auditors gave Davis’ expense receipts to Southaven’s aldermen and details of his purchase began to surface on Thursday. The politician told the newspaper in an interview that he is gay and has had a difficult time keeping the issue from impacting his job as mayor of Southaven.

"At this point in my life and in my career, while I have tried to maintain separation between my personal and public life, it is obvious that this can no longer remain the case," Davis told the Commercial Appeal.

"While I have performed my job as mayor, in my opinion, as a very conservative, progressive individual -- and still continue to be a very conservative individual -- I think that it is important that I discuss the struggles I have had over the last few years when I came to the realization that I am gay," he said.
The Republican ran for Congress in 2008, promoting family-values but was not elected.

State auditors obtained the receipts hoping to reduce the $170,000 that Davis owes. The auditors found the purchase to be "improper charges to both his city-issued and personal credit cards." In addition, the auditors asked city aldermen to look over the expense receipts "before making a decision on accepting them to reduce Davis’ payments," the newspaper wrote. Davis has already paid back $96,000.

The Commercial Appeal obtained the receipts under a Freedom of Information request and claims that Davis spent "thousands of dollars at the Mesquite Chop House in Southaven and thousands more at local liquor stores."

According to the receipts, Davis charged $67 at a gay sex store in Toronto called Priape. He visited the Canadian city on a recruitment trip with Mid-South warehouse developers. The politician claims he does not remember what he purchased at Priape.

Davis married Suzann Davis in 1991 but divorced in 2010 and has three daughters.
"At this point, my goal is to ensure that for the next year and a half that the city continues to grow," he said. "I will evaluate whether I will run again as mayor at a later time."

"The only apology I would make to my supporters if they are upset is the fact that I was not honest enough with myself to be honest with them. But I have lived my life in public service for 20-plus years, and in order for me to remain sane and move on, I have got to start being honest about who I am."
In a similar case an anti-gay politician from Australia was caught in a gay porn scandal, Carnal Nation reported.

Australian Member of Parliament Rev. Fred Nile was allegedly using the House of Parliament’s computers to look at gay porn websites. After an audit of the Parliament’s computers, there were more than 200,000 "suspect hits" under Niel’s username. The reverend claims that he was only "researching" the websites.
"My senior researcher has conducted a lot of research into the pornography industry at my request because we have bills dealing with increasing the ban on pornographic materials," he said.

"I have not accessed or viewed any of those sites but my researcher has, particularly ... the Sex Party, Eros Foundation and others and through those sites, they do have links to hardcore pornographic material which (those websites) support."

Unfortunately, Tennessee does not extend many rights to its LGBT community. The state does not recognize same-sex marriages and the law does not punish discrimination based on gender identity or sexual orientation.

Tennessee legislatures have also passed an anti-gay measure called "Don’t Say Gay." The rule prohibits schools from mentioning LGBT issues in schools and strips local governments of the ability to implement anti-discrimination measures that would protect LGBT people, EDGE reported in a May 20 article.

N.J. Mayor Resigns Amid Male Prostitution Scandal

The mayor of Medford, N.J., Chris Myers, has resigned following months of allegations that the married father had hired a male prostitute while on a trip to California in October 2010.

The scandal began when the apparently disgruntled prostitute posted a picture of a man that looked like Republican Mayor Chris Myers lying on a bed, wearing only blue Calvin Klein briefs.  The man who claimed to be the male escort alleged that Myers, 46, had paid him $500 for the encounter, but did not fulfill promises he made to give the man gifts and a car.

The website created by the alleged male prostitute was taken down at the end of October, but a screen shot of the site shows the original post titled, “NJ Medford Mayor Christopher Myers Hired Me From Rentboy.com…All I Got Were Lies & Broken Promises!!!”

In an interview with New Jersey’s Courier-Post in October, Myers refused to comment on the claims but did not deny them. But at a council meeting in November, he denied the allegations and called the Internet “a murky, anonymous place.”

Neither Myers nor other members of the Medford Township Council responded to requests for comment on Tuesday.

Myers resigned Monday through a letter to the town’s clerk and manager, posted in full on ABC News’ Philadelphia affiliate WPVI. Medford Township is about 20 miles east of Philadelphia.

Seven of the letter’s eight paragraphs are dedicated to Myers’ “many achievements during my tenure.” He wrote about preserving thousands of acres of farmland, an energy cost reduction program and his efforts during flooding that severely damaged the town in 2004 and 2007.

“At this time, I feel it’s time to pass the baton, and allow others to take the reins and lead our town forward,” he wrote at the end of the letter. “My work commitments will not allow me to devote the time that is needed in the months ahead. That is why, today, I am resigning from the Medford Township Council, effective immediately.”

Medford Councilman Bob Martin was selected to assume the vacant mayor’s seat.

“It’s just sad. The whole thing has been horrible for him, his family and for Medford township. We really don’t even know if it’s true, because it was an anonymous person that did this stuff on the Internet,” Martin told ABCNews.com. “We got a lot of bad publicity from it, but I believe he did the right thing. I really believe that this is for his own good, for his family’s good and for the good of the Township.”

Pastor Eddie Long Kicked to the Curb

After paying off four young men for alleged sexual harassment, anti-gay defender of marriage Pastor Eddie Long and his jheri-curl weave are being kicked to the curb by his wife.

Vanessa Long said she had decided to "terminate my marriage" after "a great deal of deliberation and prayer." "It is my sincere hope that this matter can be resolved expeditiously, harmoniously, and fairly," she said in the statement. "I ask that you respect my privacy and that of my family, as my attorneys and I have agreed that we will not try this case in the media, and I do not intend to make any further statements concerning this matter," she added. "I also ask that the public pray for my entire family during this difficult period of transition."

83 year old candidate charged with prostitution

This morning I found this odd bit of news......If you're a politician, you're never too old for a sex scandal.

On Tuesday, police arrested Ben Clifford Dawson (pictured left), an 83-year-old candidate eying a seat on the Centerville, Iowa, city council, for alleged prostitution, according to TV station KTVO.
He's no gigolo, but he's in trouble.

Dawson, allegedly told Melissa Drew that he'd shave some money off her debt to him if he could perform unspecified sexual acts on her, a police report said.

Dawson made the offer several times after he loaned her several thousand dollars in June, Chief of Police Tom Demry said to HuffPost. At the time of the original transaction, Drew says Dawson grabbed her and kissed her neck, station KCCI says.

Prostitution is a misdemeanor and Demry told The Huffington Post that the law dosen't distinguish between johns and hookers.

A 10-day investigation by the Centerville police department led to charges of prostitution and intent to commit sexual abuse against Dawson, who was freed after posting $2,000 bond.

It's unclear how the arrest will affect Dawson's odds of getting a seat on the five-person city council. The election is scheduled for Nov. 8.

Undercover Newark Cop Touched Himself And Fondled Masseuse During Sting Operation

Police in Newark, N.J., will implement a new protocol for sting operations after an undercover vice cop pleasured himself and fondled a masseuse during a prostitution bust at a massage parlor.

After being offered a "full massage" by a 22-year-old woman in a Bloomfield Avenue parlor on Sept. 28, the detective -- who was wearing a wire -- stripped down to his underwear, paid the woman $80 and touched himself while putting his hand on the masseuse's breast, according to police documents obtained by The Star-Ledger.

Law enforcement officials reportedly burst into the massage parlor and arrested two women for promoting prostitution and narcotics charges.

The incident might raise eyebrows, but Newark Police Director Samuel DeMaio told the paper that the officer wasn't acting with "bad intentions."

"There is no department protocol in place for what to do in an undercover vice operation. And that's what we're going to change," said DeMaio. "Looking at it, certainly, there's no bad intentions here on (the officer's) part. I just don’t think he was prepped properly."

DeMaio placed the six detectives involved in the sting on administrative duty, according to Newsday.

News of the botched raid comes as the Newark Police Department faces heightened scrutiny.

Earlier this year, the Justice Department launched a federal investigation into the police force over years of allegations of misconduct. The investigation comes after the city laid off 162 officers citing budget constraints.

HIV/AIDS Funds diverted to a strip Club? Scandal?

D.C. Attorney General Irvin Nathan has accused Miracle Hands, an HIV/AIDS service provider in Washington, DC that is owned by Cornell Jones, of spending nearly $300,000 in federal tax dollars to open a strip club.

According to the Washington Examiner, Cornell Jones “is a self-described former D.C. drug kingpin with convictions for narcotics distribution on his record.”
The lawsuit claims that the agency requested the funds to renovate a warehouse for use as a resident job training center for HIV-Positive individuals.

Funding for the renovation of the Queens Chapel Road warehouse was released in 2005, continued in 2006 and in April of 2007 Miracle Hands received an additional $139,000 to complete the renovations. The warehouse at 2127 Queens Chapel Road NE, opened as the Stadium Club in early 2010.
